The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA)
For the second consecutive year, Sharkey achieved the prestigious RoSPA Gold Award in recognition of our commitment to practices and achievements that help raise health and safety standards. RoSPA recognises achievement in health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement. Moreover, the scheme allows organisations to prove excellence in the workplace, signifying a commitment to the wellbeing, not only of employees, but of all those who interact with it.
British Safety Council (BSC)
Our Portland Place project has been awarded an International Safety Award with Distinction, demonstrating our commitment to health, safety and wellbeing throughout 2018. More specifically, this award from the BSC is in recognition of dedication to keeping our workers and workplace healthy and safe. Furthermore, the project won the Chief Adjudicator’s Award, highlighting our outstanding commitment to the effective and proportionate management of health, safety and welfare matters.
Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS)
Portland Place also picked up the Bronze Award in the £1M – £5M category at the CCS National Site Awards ceremony. Here again, this recognition demonstrates our outstanding commitment to improving the image of the construction industry and achieving exemplary standards in all areas of the Code of Considerate Practice.
